Elders Online Guild Charter
Started in May of 1997, as a Battlenet Diablo guild, The Elders Online (formerly The Elders of Diablo) was formed to offer members a true secure gathering place, to fight the battles of good vs. evil and gather and share lore of battles fought.

Elders Online believes that the difference between a truly enjoyable and realistic role-playing adventure and just another game, are the people you game with. To that end, each of our members have agreed to live by the following principles:

1. MISSION STATEMENT- To create an atmosphere of trust and friendship between online gamers. Elders Online is about friendly gaming, treasure hunting, tournaments, and chat. We endeavor to provide an atmosphere that will nurture the growth of such a gaming guild, and as such we welcome any input, suggestion, and criticisms that may better assist in creating such an atmosphere.
2. RULES OF CONDUCT - Our Rules of Conduct are used as guidelines for our membership, when common sense just isn't enough. We add and amend these as needed.
   • VALUES - "... do unto others as you would have them do unto you." At the risk of preaching, we hold this value above all others. Player Killing isn't condoned. Player Killing without the express consent said player will result in a review of membership status.
   • ETHICS - Each member agrees to play in an honest fashion, without the use of "cheats" or "hacks", unless played in a private game with the consent of all involved. Our public games are cheat-free.
   • MORALS - Many of our members have their family and/or children looking over their shoulders during chat sessions. We strongly suggest that all profanity be left at the door. Our channel operators have been give the power to "kick" or "ban" any members or chatroom visitors that consistently use profanity.
3. MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS - The following are required attributes of any Elders member:
   • Each new member-prospect must agree with and uphold our Mission Statement and Rules of Conduct. If you do not agree with the above, our guild may not be the best choice for you.
   • Our gaming server is designed by Kali. In order to access our gaming server, members need a registered Kali client software, which costs a one-time $20 fee paid directly to Kali. Credit cards are not necessary. Kali does accpet mailed checks. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU REGISTER YOUR KALI SOFTWARE ONLY TO JOIN THIS GUILD. WE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF MEMBER DECIDES TO LEAVE THE GUILD, OR IS ASKED TO LEAVE THE GUILD.
   • Finally, complete our Membership Application, in full. Your application will receive immediate attention, and you will be contacted by Camulus(EO), Elders Council member, responsible for Guild Recruitment. Please feel free to join us in our website chatroom, and get to know our membership!
