Hunt Make no mistake about it... this is no ordinary Treasure Hunt! Imagine you and a fellow guild member delving into the depths of Diablo in search of an unknown magical item , racing against a rival team (usually members of an allied guild). At the begining of the game, someone (a third neutral party, not participating in the hunt) plants a magical item somewhere between Level 5 (The Catacombs) and Level 16 (Diablo's Chamber Level). Each team must race against the other to find the item, while fighting to stay alive in the process. Prior to finding the magical item, the competing teams can not attack or hinder one another. Doing so automatically disqualifies the aggressing team. Once the magical item is found, the discovering party must declare that the item has been found, to the opposing team members. In order to win the game, the discovering team must safely transport the magical item to the surface, while avoiding the attack of the opposing team. It is the opposing team's right to attempt to stop you! If the opposing team kills you before you have reached the surface with the magical item, you lose. Sounds too easy, doesn't it. Oh, I forgot to mention... the discovering team CAN NOT use a town portal to transport the magical item to the surface! They must travel up the stairs from whichever level they find the magical item, up to the previous level, and so on, until the Stairs To Town from Level 5 are reached! During that mad rush, the opposing team will be hunting you, so watch your back!
